NSP/NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL

The full form of NSP is National Scholarship Portal. It is implemented by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. This portal provides scholarships to the students of different categories. We have listed different type of scholarships, state wise scholarship schemes, eligibility criteria, registration process, and other needed information.

So why this NSP-that is digital scholarship platform was introduced?

It carries out several functions and allows to work scholarship distribution process smoothly. It ensures that scholarships are being disbursed on timely basis. It is the platform for both central as well as state govt. scholarships. It also ensures the application of DBT.

Benefits of NSP

·        Govt. has started NSP Scholarship to provide benefits to those students who really want to study but can’t afford because of poor financial status.

·        It is beneficiary for those who don’t have money to prepare for big exams or entrance exams. This scholarship is provided to the students through educational institutions in which they are studying.

·        DBT payment is done through PFMS portal to provide scholarship. So that scholarship amount is directly transferred to the student’s account via PFSM portal.

·        You can easily apply for the scholarship schemes since it doesn’t require much documents and even registration process is very fast thus it saves your time.

·        All the payment processes are carried out automatically, the only students have to do is that they have to register for particular scholarship, the amount will transfer to their account via DBT.

Eligibility Criteria

·         If you want to check eligibility criteria for scholarship then first you need to go to the official website of NSP.

• ·         On home page you will see ‘services’ option.
• ·         From drop down menu select ‘scheme eligibility’ option.
• ·         Then you will have to enter your details like Domicile state, course level, Religion, caste category, Gender, parent annual income, whether disabled and captcha code.
• ·         Click on ‘Check eligibility’ option.

Documents Required

• Aadhar Card
• Bank account Passbook.
• Caste Certificate if you belong to a special category.
• Income certificate as per your scholarship type.
• Mobile Number
• Passport Size Photograph
• Previous Year Education Qualification certificate.
• Self-declaration certificate.

Registration Process

·        First you have to visit national scholarship official site.

·        On home page you will see ‘new registration’ option, click on that option.

·        Read the instructions carefully given on the screen, tick the checkbox and click on ‘continue’ option.

·        Then you will have to enter your details like name, date of birth, mobile no, bank details etc. fill that correctly.

·        Enter the given captcha code and click on ‘register’ option.

·        Login through ‘student registration ID’.

·        Click on ‘application form’ icon.

·        Application form will be appeared on the screen.

·        You have to enter the details like name, state of domicile, date of birth, fathers name, aadhar card no, religion, annual family income etc.

·        After filling all the details click on ‘save and continue’.

·        On the next page you will have to upload the documents.

·        Make sure that candidate upload the documents in prescribed format.

·        After uploading documents click on ‘final submission’.

·        Your application is submitted. You can download it and can take out print out for future reference.

NSP Mobile App

Govt. has introduced National Scholarship Portal Mobile App. Students can download it from Google Play Store. This makes scholarship application more convenient for the students. Students can start applying and registering for scholarship through this mobile app. You cannot only get access to NSP scholarship but can also apply for it within few steps.
